A lovely handmade lampshade in MacLellan Ancient Tartan.

The MacLellan Tartan can be traced back to 188.  It has been associated with the name Maclaren, Gillies and MacLeish. The MacLellans as a family were numerous in Galloway and also around Aberfeldy and Morar. Although they are claimed as septs of the MacDonald, MacNab, MacLennan and Douglas Clans, they are now established themselves as a strong independent Clan.

The shade is made with a flame retardant PVC which is fully compliant with the glow wire tests carried out by the lighting association. Low energy bulbs are recommended. The frame is fitted with a 39mm European ring fitting with a removable 29mm UK reducing ring fitted. This means that the shade is suitable for both UK and European lamps.
